Hi I'm Carlo Javeloza

I'm from Oceanside. I'm Filipino-American. I love to surf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love surfing, anime and manga. I love to run and play basketball. I'm learning how to play the ukulele too. Nightly walk by the beach with my family reminds me of how'd be like in heaven. I surely miss those day. I am currently serving a mission in Missouri Independence Mission where I can put all my strength and talents for speaking about something I deeply appreciate. Which is the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Couple years ago before I joined the church, I felt that there was something missing in my life. I didn't know what it was at the beginning. Life went on.. Eventually, my family was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when my Step-Dad came to my life. At first, I relate myself to Alma and the sons of Mosiah. I didn't agree with the teachings and doctrines. I tried to convince my Mom and siblings that its a cult. Eventually my mother and younger sister was baptized in the Mormon church. As time went on.. Many has changed in my family's lifestyle. I began to feel the spirit in my home. I knew in my heart that I need to pray and look for guidance. Through the spirit "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith," and examples of my family and friends. My heart was softened through time. By studying the scriptures, I pondered if this is something I must believe. I can tell you this with all the love that I have that- I'm a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that I'm Christian and also a Mormon. First "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. (Articles of Faith 1:1)" I am categorized as a Mormon because I believe that The Book of Mormon is a scripture and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. Knowing that The Book of Mormon is a scripture means that everything that Joseph Smith, Jr. is a prophet of God to me. It's like a domino effect. I love being a Mormon because nothing but good and happiness has happened in life since I joined the Church. Being a Mormon doesn't mean that I'm special, I'm a Mormon because I am ".. willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death.. (Mosiah 18:9)" That's whats up! -Elder Javeloza
