Hi I'm Samuel

I grew up in Spokane. I love pretty much everyone I meet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Sam. I am almost twenty-one years old. I am a high school graduate. I have not yet started college. I worked at a cherry orchard as a swamper. A swamper is a person who collects full buckets of Cherries and dumps them in a bin and then sorts out the bad ones. After that I worked at a warehouse where I sorted even more Cherries. I became a Certified Nurses Aid for a while. I left that job less than a year later. I went back to Cherries in the warehouse. Then worked as a ticketer during apple season in the orchards. I am currently strenghtening my testimony, and learning and growing spiritually every day serving a mission in the Nevada Reno Mission. I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. I was born and raised in the Church. I love being a member because of the feelings I get when I read my scriptures, pray, or go to church. These feelings are always peaceful and happy. When I do something wrong I can feel it. I feel guilty. I am grateful for Christ and his atonement. Through this act of love he made it possible for us to repent and become clean again. It is an amazing feeling to know that He loved me enough to die for me! I believe that this is the True Church restored to the Earth by a modern day prophet, Joseph Smith. He also restored God's priesthood to the earth. We have a Prophet today whose name is Thomas S. Monson. He leads and guides us in righteousness.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I was a Ward Missionary, or in other words, someone who helped the full time missionaries when they needed some one to come out with them or I was helping to teach new converts. Previous to that, I was a counselor in the Brewster Branch Sunday school Presidency. I have taught lessons in two different Sunday School classes, one being youth and the other being Adults. I have given talks and people have always told me they were good. Previously I was a home teacher. We as home teachers would visit families or in my case being in in a singles ward, Young Single Adults and make sure they were doing all right. We make sure that if they need something that we do our best, if we can do it, to do it. I go to Church every Sunday. And since January of 2012 I have been reading my Scriptures and Praying every day. When I make mistakes I repent of my sins. It is important to me to have this faith and to live it the way my Heavenly Father wants me to, because I know he loves me and wants what's best for me. Currently I am serving a full time mission for two years in the Nevada Reno Mission. I am doing this because it is an opportunity for me to give back two years of my life to Heavenly Father to serve his other Children and Bring them unto Him and his Son Jesus Christ, "through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end. For two years my life is and will be totally dedicated to serving the Lord.
