Hi I'm Dale

I was raised in Northern Arizona, moved to Phoenix, then Viet Nam, life in Construction/Real Estate, like Harley's I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like all sports, little too old to participate much now, hiking, fishing with my son's, (all Eagle Scouts) and now working on Grand Kids. Love the outdoors, been to all 48 states on a Harley Davidson including Canada and Old Mexico. Would rather ride than drive. Been in Construction and Real Estate most of my life. Now live on a ranch off the Grid and trying to be more independent, and self sufficient. Like gardening, raising chickens and rabbits, have own well and looking forward to planting an orchard. Basically going back to raising our own. Would love to serve a mission for the Church since I missed my opportunity. Well guess what, we just received our mission call to Botswana, Namibia, South Africa. I am so excited to finally have a chance to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I lost my father when I was 11, had a great childhood until then. After that went down a pretty bumpy road. Went to 3 different High Schools, then one semester of college and Viet Nam. Upon my return it took several years to get my head back on straight. Moved in with my Grandfather who was a great example to me, and got me going back to Church. Then a year later met my Eternal Companion in March married her in the Mesa Temple in August and we have four children. Lost our handicapped daughter in 2005 after 25 years. Sons all college graduates, Doctor, MBA IRS agent, and an Engineer. All married in the Temple to their spouses and now we have 12 grandchildren and want to have a positive impact in their lives. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the best way to do it. As that is what has given us the success with our children. But more importantly I personally need the Savior's example, love, and direction in my own life enabling me to endure the things that are ahead.

How I live my faith

We just moved up on a ranch from a big metropolitan area. Having no kids left at home we decided to start a more frugal life. Our meeting house is over 50 miles away and we attend every Sunday we are home. Partaking of the Holy Sacrament every week has always helped us commit to being better the next week. My wife and I have always served in the church, home teaching and watching after other members and non members has always been rewarding. We have worked in the cannery supplying people in need food. Worked on the farms as assignments have been given. Recently worked with college age kids in a form of mentoring and helping them recognize the joy and success they can have by following the example of the Savior. I have had callings in all organizations of the church, but was unable to serve as a Missionary and hope to do that soon with my bride. Striving to keep the commandments of God will give you more joy and happiness than any material thing in this world. It will also help you in raising your own children to be successful. I am no better in the Savior's eyes than anyone who reads this, and His love for us is eternal. My ultimate goal is to have my family with me, in His presents when we all return home.
