Hi I'm Kristin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore. I am a gymnast but I love all sports in general. I love to hike and love being outside. I play various instruments and love to sing. I also live on a farm, milk goats, and ride horses. And I love learning new things and meeting new people! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I don't know exactly when I was converted. My whole life I had been surrounded by the stories that fill the scriptures and the principles of the gospel that my family and teachers taught me. At an early age I began to question the church. Was there really a God? Why did I go to church every Sunday? Was this really important to me? And if the church was true, what was I going to do about it? I set out to know for myself what my family and teachers already knew. I began to pray and read my scriptures. I tried to listen in church and even take notes in my classes. I still wasn't sure if all of it was true, but I continued to nourish the seed that had been planted within me to discover what it would become. After I had finished reading the Book of Mormon all the way through, I prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if it was true. A sweet burning of confirmation reached my soul and I knew I could not deny it. I had felt this feeling on other occasions when I had done a good deed or service of some kind, but never with this kind of power. The spirit confirmed the truth to me. That is what the burning I felt was. I knew the church was true and decided from then on that I was going to try to be the best person I could, try to live by the gospel standards, and try to help others find the light that I had found. The seed planted within me had become a beautiful, blossomed flower. The gospel is a glorious thing and I hope that every individual can find it's light and have the opportunity to receive the blessings that come from being a member and by living the standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of a group of young women that are 14 to 15 years old. I call and make sure that everything is okay and that they are happy and doing well. I also help plan activities for them to do. But mostly I just have fun with them and we are all good friends. It brings us closer together as a group and makes it more fun when we are with all the young women (ages 12 to 18). It ensures a bond of friendship between all the young women no matter the age and helps us to know that there is always someone there who we can depend on and that has the same values as us. These girls amaze me every day with how wonderful and faithful they are. I am so blessed to be a part of this church! :)
