Hi I'm Dave

I'm a husband and father. I'm an aircraft mechanic. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in rural Pennsylvania were I gained a love for the outdoors. My interests include camping, fishing, hiking, hunting and the shooting sports. My family moved to Colorado while I was serving as a missionary. In Colorado I met and married a marvelous woman. I then attended technical school an became a certified aircraft mechanic. After graduation I served a four year enlistment in the United States Air Force then went to work for a commerical airline. Although my outdoor activities are somewhat curtailed by age I remain active in the shooting sports and have become an NRA certified instructor. In that role I find much enjoyment introducing others to the sport. My wife and I are now the parents of six and grandparents of four, this we consider to be our greatest achievement and the source of our greatest joy.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was seven so from a practical standpoint I've grown up in the Church. I remain a member of the Church because I have come to know for myself that it is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I know, through personal and powerful revelation, that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that God lives and loves me. That He is my Heavenly Father. That He knows me and is aware of my circumstances and needs. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my everyday life. At work I am honest with my co-workers, my supervisors and the company I work for. At home I seek to be kind and understanding and treat my wife and children as Heavenly Father would want them treated. At church I serve when and where asked and seek to be a positive example of my religion. In my community I work often with Scout group providing instruction and supervision for shooting activities.
