Hi I'm Makenna

I love life. I grew up in Moses Lake. I am a Senior in High School. I am happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a Senior in High School. I just applied to college, so hopefully I get in, and for the Fall Track of 2012. I am a part of my high school drill/dance team, and I absolutely love it. We are known throughout the area and throughout Washington. I grew up dancing in elementary school, tried out sports in middle school, and came back to dance in high school. I think my heart has always been with dance. We practice morning and night, and we will be going to Nationals in Disneyland, and State in Yakima next year in the Spring. Go Molahiettes! I also am a singer, I perform at different events whether that be National Anthems at sports events, singing musical numbers in church, and just many other various times. I love love love to horseback ride, that has and always will be a part of me. I also am learning sign language, and it has come of great use to me within the deaf culture, and other reasons. I love summer, boating, and the stars at night. I have a wonderful family, two loving parents and three handsome younger brothers. I am in love with Taylor Swift, she is my role model, and I am positive she knows my life before she writes a song. Haha. When I graduate, I hope to attend college and earn a degree in Elementary Education. I want to be a teacher to make a living, and help support my future family. I am happy and content with my life, and I LOVE THIS GOSPEL.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of Jesus Christ's church because I chose to be, and choose to live it. I have never experienced happiness like I have living His gospel. I was baptized when I was 8, and have never wished to be a part of any other church. My family is happy, and I know I can be with them for eternity. I continue to follow this gospel because each day when I attend high school, I see how lost so many students my age are. And my heart hurts for them when I hear the language they use, the choices they make, and the way they choose to live. I know that the blessings of this gospel that are given, if I live the way I have been commanded, those blessings are promised to me. My testimony grows stronger each time I read the Book of Mormon, and do the things the Lord has aked me to do. I know Heavenly Father has a plan designed just for me, and He will guide me to fulfill this plan if I simply ask for the help. Happiness is simply a choice; and I choose to be happy, and the way that happens is if I stay true and endure to the end. The power and the gift of prayer is a blessing in my life, and I know that I can use it at any time, any place, and for any reason. When I read my scriptures and pray with a purpose, whether that be comfort, peace, direction, or for a simple answer- I know that I will find it. Heavenly Father loves me and knows me individually, and He is always aware of me. I know that I am a divine daughter of God, and I am of great worth. His church is the only true church on this earth, and it has been restored to it's fullness. I am a Mormon, and I choose to always be.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by helping others, inside and outside of the church. I try to invite others to church with me, and pray for missionary moments. I want to share my happiness with others. I have made the choice to live my faith at all times. I stay away from things that I know could hurt my future, my spirit, and others. I walk with faith, and I want to live like I believe. Making the wrong choices or decisions that could hurt me just aren't worth it. I am not perfect, I have made big mistakes, and make mistakes each day. But I know how important it is to repent, it is the only way back to live with our Heavenly Father someday. It is important to me to be married in the temple, and to raise a family strong in the gospel. I want to do it all right, and I do that by living my faith.
