Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm the mother of three, a former teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small town in Southeastern Arizona, but I currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I like to hike, camp and fish with my husband. I have three wonderful children. I love to read anything I can get my hands on, but especially the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

When I became interested in joining the Church, I took the discussions with the missionaries and so much of what they said, such as the existence of modern-day prophets, made sense to me. However, I still had many doctrinal questions. I spent almost nine months investigating the Church. Finally, an elder said to me,"You cannot know the truth of the Gospel through intellect alone, you must know it spiritually." I realized that everything I had learned about Church history and doctrine meant nothing without a "leap of faith". I had to pray and find out if what I had been taught was true. And it was. I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost testified to me concerning the truth of the Book of Mormon and the restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

Being LDS is not something you do only on Sundays; it truly is a way of life. I try to live my faith everyday by participating in church social activities and attending church meetings on Sunday. I pray and read my scriptures daily. I do my visiting teaching and I fulfill the duties of my church calling which is working with the Cub Scouts as a den leader. I read the church magazine, the Ensign. I do genealogy work and hold a current temple recommend so that I can attend the temple whenever possible. Everyday I look to our Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father to help me live my faith.
