Hi I'm Brandi

I am a small town girl with a southern accent. I work with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Brandi, your typical southern bell. I am 23 years old. I have 2 sisters, 1 older and 1 younger. I just earned my Associates in Business Administration. I plan on continuing my education by earning my Bachelors in Speech Therapy. I love children. I am not yet married and I do not have children of my own but I work at a daycare and those kids are my babies. I was a cheerleader all through middle school and high school. I love music, singing, sewing, watching sports, and playing games with my family. I love to go 4-wheeler riding and the dirtier, the better. I love to have fun. Laughing brightens my day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me. When I think about why I am here on earth, I know there is a higher power that created all things. If there wasn't then, we would all be free to do whatever we wanted without consequences. We would not know joy from sorrow because there would be no purpose for either. When I study my scriptures, or the word of God, I feel peace and comfort. When I pray, I know my Heavenly Father hears. I have seen his tender mercies in my life. For instance when I am sad, my favorite hymn will pop in my head or I will see something that makes me laugh and I know I am loved. I know the Savior came to earth to go through pain and afflictions so that when we came to earth, he would know exactly what we are going through, and exactly how to comfort us, if we ask. I love my Savior. Heavenly Father wants us to be with him again and would prepare a way us to do so. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My life would not be as it is without the church. Being a Mormon is my choice and I wouldn't have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the word of God to start. I have to have a knowledge of what I believe before I can live it. I then put what I learn into action. I try to show love for others and serve those around me. I choose to watch movies or listen to music that if Christ were in the room I would still listen to it. I have done many things in my church for the past few years. I have served mostly with the teenage girls ages 12-18. I love them so much and want to see them excel. I have been a chorister and a teacher as well. I am currently showing my faith by serving a mission for the church. I have been called to serve for 18 months while doing so I will invite others to come unto Christ. Sunday is not the only day of the week that God or the bible exists in my life. I pray everyday and talk with others about what I believe as often as possible. I want everyone to know how much Christ loves them. Faith is action. You have to show your faith by what you do, not just saying you believe in God. I try to act in such a way that everyone knows how much I love my Savior.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

One way the church helps those around the world is by teaching and also by serving. Two major times the church had a major part in helping others is hurricane Katrina and the earthquakes. Helping hands was in the South cleaning up and helping get food to those who had been without. The church also had diesel trucks full of food and things to help those devastated by the disasters. How can I know Mormonism is true?

If you want to know if Mormonism is true, pray and ask God knowing that he will answer you. Read and study what the church teaches. After you pray for an answer you have to listen. My answer came as an overwhelming feeling of peace, where there wasn't any doubt in my mind that it was true. Show more Show less
