Hi I'm Branden

I grew up in California and now I live in Arizona. I love basketball and hiking and meeting new people, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a basketball player, a bike rider, an outdoorsman, and a son of God. I'm currently studying business management at BYU. I hike often and enjoy all different types of music truly and thoroughly. I also play basketball a lot. I have recently returned from serving as a missionary in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was raised in The Church. It wasn't forced upon me or anything but I went every Sunday, and I grew to love it. I've had the opportunity to hear all different types of beliefs and understandings and each and every view and opinion has personally lead me back to this gospel. I chose at a young age what I knew to be true and as I have grown up these things have only become more true and dear to me. I know that God is my eternal father and that I am his literal son. I know that these things are true through the manifestations of the spirit in the way I feel and the way others react to my words and deeds. I know that what I have learned since I was first able to understand the lessons in Sunday school are true. I have felt the happiness and joy only The Spirit can give. I have felt the warm comforting confirmations of God and I know that they come only from Him. I know he loves each and every single one of his sons and daughters that has and will inhabit this Earth. I know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for our sins and that through him we can be forgiven of any unclean thought or action. I know of the love and acceptance; the understanding and forgiveness of our Father in Heaven. I know these things to be true because of what I have learned through the one and only true gospel on this Earth. I love my God and I love my religion.

How I live my faith

I live my faith. I take the lessons I learn each Sunday and implement them in my daily life. My religion doesn't stop Sunday night, I live it throughout the week. I attend church activities and go out to teach with the missionaries in my area as often as possible. I seek out service opportunities when ever possible and find wholesome activities to invite friends to.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Branden
We believe that taking care of the poor and needy is an essential quality of discipleship. We also believe that Christ taught self-reliance. The Church encourages the recipients of welfare goods to help others and become self-reliant, The Church welfare programs aren't just a handout, they are a means to a beginning of a self-sufficient life.
