Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a Mormon. I am 18 and I grew up in Arizona, i am now serving a mission in Knoxville Tennessee.

About Me

I am Jordan I like playing sports. My favorite sport to watch and play is Football. I am in a family of 6.

Why I am a Mormon

For awhile I was never sure about the church, I had a testimony based off my parents faith. Looking up to them and seeing how they show there testimony. What made me really start questioning is when i was younger, my parents had a Family Home Evening (which is where we gather as a family and share gospel topics and/or activities.) This time we were going to kneel down as a family and pray to know the truth of the church. So we knelt down and said a prayer, in this prayer we asked if Christ is real and still living today, and if the Book of Mormon is true. When we finished the prayer we sat there for a minute and everyone said they felt that it was true, except i didn't feel it. So my parents decided we would say another prayer, we said the prayer asking again. Again i didn't feel anything. Seeing my family all say they felt it I said that i did also. Just because I knew they knew what to look for and i didn't. Growing up even further in the church, getting callings such as teachers president, priest secretary, ect. I would pray every once in awhile to see if God will let me know he was truly there. Not getting a answer, or at least not realizing i got a answer I would just push on. Then I saw my brothers go on a mission which really made me start to think about everything again. At one point in there i prayed about a mission and going on one. My mind opened up thinking about something good that would come from it. So i went. On my mission it took a ton of learning about the Father, Christ and the Holy Ghost. And i finally knelt down and prayed asking the same exact things as in the prayer with my family. Right then my mind opened up seeing all the times god answered my prayers, noticing that the way the Holy Ghost prompted me, teaches me, and guides me. Is through opening my mind to the blessings and goodness of God! And it took me that long to realize how the Holy Ghost speaks to me. And that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am able to show my faith by being out on a mission sharing my testimony, and the doctrine of Christs Gospel to everyone i come in contact with. Back home I live my faith by being an example, living as closely as I can to the example that Christ set.
