Hi I'm Nathan Wright

I'm from the lush green desert of Arizona. I'm a fan of all sports. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in the big city of Mesa, Arizona but moved to a small place called the Gila Valley when I was really young and have met some of the best people ever. Growing up I basically had the same interests as any regular kid, especially sports, and especiall basketball. I graduated from high school in 2011 and have dreams to one day attend a college or university and study business and law. I would like to work in the legal field, perhaps in some area like sports management or immigration.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have grown up in the Church, I still had to become converted to the Gospel. I had always grown up living the Gospel and believing everything I was taught. It just always made sense to me. However, while passing through some problems and questions, I spent much time reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if everything I had believed up to that point in my life was true. I opened my heart up to God, really, desperately wanting to know if this truly was the Restored Gospel and church of Jesus Christ. Then I realized, after much prayer, that it all was true. So then I continued doing my best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as best as I could. Many people have told me that my testimony or conversion isn't "as valid" because I grew up in the Church. But what they don't realize is that I too had to pass through the same trial of faith and trust in God to know the truth, and I thank God every day that I have the chance to live it.

How I live my faith

I am trying the very best I can to live what I know to be true. It is a process everyday of becoming more and more converted to what Jesus Christ taught, but thanks to His Atoning Sacrifice, I can do it. Currently, I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Oregon Salem Mission-Spanish Speaking. It is a blessing from my Heavenly Father that I am able to teach His Restored Gospel in this area of the world among His precious children that are of Hispanic descent. I have learned many valuable, eternal lessons of service, love, and giving all I have to the Savior as I serve Him by serving my fellowman.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I cannot create or fabricate the feelings that God can give us through the Holy Ghost. People try and do it on their own and that is why there is so much unhappiness. Show more Show less
