Hi I'm Lillian

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a foodie. I'm a photographer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm half Japanese, and my heritage is a huge part of my identity. I'm passionate about good food, and love how it can bring people together and be a tool to bring comfort when shared. I love photography and capturing someone's personality in a special moment. I am married to my best friend, and think I'm the luckiest girl in the world for finding him. We have 2 beautiful little girls with a baby boy on the way. I love my life. Good and bad. All of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this faith, and have always felt a strong loyalty to our way of life. When I was a teenager, my parents were divorced, and I went through a difficult time of depression and doubt about whether or not there was a truly a God that loved me. That's when I decided it was time to know for myself who God is, and if He was real, to develop a personal relationship with Him. It was through studying His words in the scriptures, meaningful prayer, and trying to emulate His example that I was able to come to know Him. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of happiness and peace. And I know for myself that He lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live a life of kindness. I truly feel that kindness is the core of Christ's teachings. I study the scriptures and pray, asking myself honestly what it means to me, and teach my children to do the same. My husband and I always pray together when making decisions, in order to invite and involve the Lord into our lives. And though I often fall short, I try my best to follow the Lord's guidance in how to teach my children to be respectable, honorable, honest people. God is my priority, then my family, and then everything else comes after. And when I'm able to accomplish that, my life seems to make sense.
