Hi I'm Carlie King!

I love horses. I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 7 older siblings, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. I have 3 nieces and 8 nephews. I participate in an equestrian drill team. Growing up with alot of animals has been a highlight of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church. My parents have raised me in a strong household. We are one of those families that people look to for an example. But it's not all fun and games sometimes. Each of us has our challenges. I recently had mine and it was a struggle to get through. I was lucky enough to have a strong, loving family to support me in trying to find my way back to being strong in my beliefs. It was cool to see the difference a family has in my life. Before I realized I needed their help and support, I shut myself out from them. I never opened up. I still struggle opening up. It took the courage of an older brother for me to see the light of what true happiness is. It took days of a biting feeling of guilt, shame and torment to stand up for myself. It's crazy what can change in one little moment. One day of 'perfect bliss' was changed by shocking news that was followed with a mental breakdown. The 'perfect bliss' of closing all my problems for no one to see was destroyed by reality. But the moment I let myself open up for those to see me, it felt as if the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. I could finally breathe. I could finally see. I could finally feel emotion. The outdoors is everything to me. A moment on the back of a horse or the moment of walking my dog is irreplaceable. I feel one with the world and with myself. Every person has a place for comfort. Mine is something with four legs that I can run with or ride on. I know that when I feel happy and at peace it can be turned to the church as a source.

How I live my faith

I am a secretary in the presidency for the girls 16-18 years of age.
