Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a mother of three gorgeous girls, married to my best friend, a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently moved to California with my family after years of my husband and I saying we never wanted to live here. BUT it's been pretty nice so far and we're happy to be here. I have my dream job of being my own boss at home with my three daughters. I also have a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and have worked in a large medical reference laboratory and a top-rated children's hospital laboratory. I love to read, exercise, and watch movies with my husband. I recently started sewing and am loving it. I don't care for cooking, but have always loved baking cookies and my family says I am good at it.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a Mormon family of six children. My parents taught us through words and example the principles of service, hard work, compassion, love, respect, self-reliance, integrity and morality. I have two brothers with Autism. My parents embraced the teachings of the gospel as they struggled to raise all of their children, but especially these two special-needs sons. They trusted in a loving God who would help them. They believe in a resurrection of perfect bodies and spirits to come. They gave everything they had to their children and taught us to be the best we could be. They knew we were meant to be linked as a family forever. This was my foundation, and I am so blessed for it. From an early age I wanted to be good and could feel the influence of the Holy Ghost helping me know right from wrong. Through faithful study of the gospel and the scriptures I gained and strengthened my own testimony that God lives, Jesus is our Savior, and Joseph Smith did indeed restore Christ's true to the earth. Religion classes in high school and college were especially inspirational and meaningful. I am so thankful to now have my own eternal family and for the blessings and happiness they bring to me.

How I live my faith

As a mother of young children, I try to have meaningful scripture study and prayer every day. This makes such a difference in giving me strength and patience, and also reminding me of what really matters and what doesn't. I try to teach my children how to be good friends, good citizens, and good examples to the world. I want them to love and cherish their families. I want them to know that being a wife and mother is important, wonderful, and meaningful. I want them to know how to work hard and to be educated and embrace learning. I also spend time teaching children at church. It is great be able to share my testimony and knowledge with them. I am working on sharing my beliefs and the reasons behind them more often with my friends and acquaintances not of my faith. I am a strong believer in advocating for morality and integrity in government, schools, and communities.
