Hi I'm Karen

And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I am a mom, a grandmother and a great grandmother. I am a retired city clerk and I love American history. I was a single mom for many years. All four of my grandparents' families came to Arizona, USA as Mormon pioneers, settling in the Gila Valley. Some of them came to this country when America was in her infancy. The rest of them came when the Church was young and they were "gathering to Zion". I like summertime, a beautiful yard and I like home decorating. I'm a firm believer that even if all a woman has is a chicken coop or a cardboard box, she will find a way to make it pretty; a piece of ribbon here or a bunch of wildflowers there. We as women need beauty in our lives. I know Heaven is a beautiful place and I can hardly wait to go there! The Lord has given us so much beauty in nature. It cheers up my soul and makes my Spirit feel glad. I love my Heavenly Father and my brother, Jesus Christ. They bless me every day. I know with all my being the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church on the earth today and if we live by its precepts, we will be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church and loved it all my life. From my earliest day, I have known in my heart that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I've never doubted. I've had questions from time to time, but the truth has always resonated within me.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are presently Temple ordinance workers and assist members as they attend the Temple. Throughout my adult life I have taught in the childrens, youth and women's organizations of the Church. Not only has this strengthened my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel, this service has led me to women who became my lifelong and precious friends. I know that my family can be a family unit forever...throughout the eternities...and that knowledge brings me great happiness.
