Hi I'm Seth.

I'm a husband, a brother, an uncle, an investment analyst and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of seven children and have loved being part of a large family. My most favorite people in the world are my wife and family members. I have been motivated and inspired to be a better person through the examples that I have had in my life. I enjoy spending time with family, playing and watching sports, and reading. I have been fortunate in my life to have the opportunity to receive a college education and earn a degree in economics. I am now an investment analyst and continue to learn by seeking different financial designations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family with parents and siblings who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I have come to know for myself that Jesus Christ is real and that He wants us to be happy. Our Father in Heaven sent Jesus Christ to show us how to have joy. The happiest moments of my life have been with my wife and other family members. Through Christ's covenants and ordinances we can be with our families forever in never ending happiness if we keep God's commandments. The teachings of Christ are not some fairy tale to calm our fears about the uncertainties we face in life, but they are real principles of power and love. Jesus Christ has given us a pattern on how to live our lives through the scriptures and prophets on how we can receive blessings that will bring happiness into our lives and show us how to change so that we can follow Christ's pattern. We also have prayer to help us to better learn what our Father in Heaven wants us to do and how to live. I know that through Jesus Christ's atonement and love, all of the injustices, unfairness, pains and sicknesses that are in the world will be made right in the end, and we can be made whole if we choose to follow our Father in Heaven's plan.

How I live my faith

When I was 19 years old I served a mission in the Micronesian Islands for two years. As a missionary I taught about Jesus Christ and His Church and provided service to the Islanders. Right now I am the clerk in my ward (local congregation). My responsibilities are to make sure all of the records for our ward are accurate and current. Also, my wife and I serve twice a month in a temple. A temple is a sacred building which is dedicated as a house of the Lord where sacred covenants and ordinances are performed so that individuals and families can return to live with Heavenly Father after this mortal life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has over 130 temples around the world and continues to build more temples each year. The blessings of temples can also be shared with our ancestors who have died. I work on compiling my family history by gathering information and records about my ancestors. Then, I can do ordinance work in the temple for them so that they may also receive the blessings of Jesus Christ that have been extended to me. Jesus Christ allows us to participate in His work that we may become more like Him so that we may have joy. I read scriptures and pray on a daily basis. My wife and I also like to memorize different passages of scriptures to help strengthen us. I also take opportunities to share with my neighbors, co-workers and others that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by talking to them about it, but mostly by just trying to live my life as a disciple of Christ.
