Hi I'm Joel

I grew up with a loving,supportive,family. I enjoy most activities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 5 kids. My three older brothers, my sister, then me. I grew up swimming. All my siblings are swimmers too. I have always loved being in the water. It just feels right when I get in a pool, lake, or even the ocean! I was a state level swimmer in high school, and qualified in almost every event! When I found out about Water Polo I instantly LOVED it! Water Polo is like soccer, rugby, and swimming all mashed into one sport! You shoot goals like soccer and don't stop until someone scores or a timeout is called, its rough like rugby, and its played in the water! I can honestly say Water Polo is on the top of the list of hardest sports to play competitively! I also love creating art. drawing, carving, sculpting, painting, graffiti, etc. I just love putting the ideas in my head into the real world! Sometimes I get frustrated when i cant get the look just right, and I'll spend a real long time on one spot if that happens, but when i finally get it right, its sooo worth the work!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I can find answer to everything! I don't have to worry about God being all mysterious or anything because I know who he is, I know my realtionship with him, and I know he will ALWAYS be there for me! I have never heard anyone from another religion be able to say all of that, and know without a doubt that its true! I also love that this church looks on the positive side! We don't preach damnation because you did something wrong, but that you can always repent and return to christ! We teach that families can be together forever and not just "till death do you part." I can live with my parents, siblings, wife (when that time comes), and kids (when I have them) for eternity! (That means even after we die!) Who wouldn't want that? Finally everything I do in life is affected by being a member. It's not a bad thing, it's actually the biggest blessing I could ask for. Being a Mormon helps keep me out of trouble. When I live the things I'm taught, I know I wont get into trouble.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the perfect example for everything! I just try to be like Him! It's tough but brings me a lot of joy. It's a life long journey. I study the scriptures, pray, attend church, and apply the things that i learn as I do those things. During high school, I had a lot of friends that did things that were contrary to the teachings of the church, and they wanted me to join in sometimes. I would always explain to them that I wasn't going to hate them for that, but i didn't believe in participating in those activities. I gained a lot of respect from my friends by doing this, and raised a lot of questions about the church, which helped me do missionary work, which is a big part of this church.
