Hi I'm Cody

I'm an outdoor enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to pass time out in the wild fishing or hiking. Coming from a family of 6 we loved spending time together out on road trips where I got to experience many trials of patience in a Chevy Astro with my 3 other siblings. My main focus in life is to meet new people and cheer them up. I have always loved to serve others as a child and even in my life today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that I am a child of God and that He still talks to us today. I was born and raised in this church since I was young, but I didn't necessarily have a firm belief in what I was taught. Growing up I was told many things and I followed the example of my wonderful parents. There came trials and moments of learning. Throughout the course of life I slowly picked up moments of where the small and simple truths of the teachings of Jesus Christ and his atonement were tried true and became part of my testimony. I love the Gospel and I love the blessings that come from following the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He really shows me how to be more compassionate with all mankind including myself. Knowing that He teaches us through a living prophet today brings comfort to my life.

How I live my faith

Day by day I am able to confront my problems with the knowledge of who I am, and what I am doing here on this earth. Part of me wants to share this with everyone so that they too can experience the peace that comes from knowing their purpose. I have served a year in Peru as a missionary sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving all that were in need. I saw many lives change by living the teachings of Christ. I got sick, came back, but then was able to go back as a missionary and serve in Fort Worth, Texas. There I also shared this wonderful gospel with all those who spoke Spanish that crossed my path. Having passed through all the learning experiences that I have, I plan to serve others when possible and make it my goal to cheer up those who are looking down. While attending High school I worked at a local grocery store. While working I always made it my goal to greet everyone that I saw. There was one lady in particular that I loved to see. She had a consistent shopping schedule, and I made an effort to keep an eye out for her when she came in. When she got there I would talk with her about her day, and family, and how her neighbors were out to get her. She was always a character. We would laugh and giggle at the small stuff and come up with nicknames for each other. I would walk with her and help her shop, and she would always walk away with a smile. I felt like I was her grandson, at least that's what she called me often. I will never forget her.
