Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Diabetic, I am a single mother and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the single mother of 2 children. I have been a diabetic since age 2. I have type 1. I am currently working as a Toddler Teacher and trying to go back to school for a degree in ECE.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has always been there for my family. Even before I was a member. My father was in and out of my life grwong up and I was the oldest. It fell to me to keep up the family orchard. We lived in a primarily LDS area and I can remember the neighbors coming over to help my family while my dad was away. There was always a feeling of peace and happiness surrounding these people and I always wanted to know more. Now that I am a single parent I couldn't imagine my life without the church. My ward family is always there to help me if I need a sitter, or someone to help me with my homework. My visiting teacher will help me if I need a ride or just a break for the kids. I wouldn't be where I am today with out the love and support of my ward.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example and service. I will be there if someone needs a meal or a ride. If you need help cleaning your house or someone to watch the kids for an hour or so. I always try to use clean language and follow the word of wisdom. I am teaching my children to be honest and hardworking.
