Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a wannabe musican, a lover of learning and of different cultures. I prefer the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Grew up in Utah, and I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I love to play the guitar and piano, and I love good music. I usually like all kinds of music, but recently, bands like "The National" have captured my attention. I love old cars, especially old volkswagens. I am currently attending The University of Utah. I am studying Anthropology, and I hope to travel the all world someday to see different cultures, different worlds, learn about other points of view, and go on adventures with my future family. I enjoy camping, and I recently got into trail running and indoor rock climbing. I love being with my friends and family, passing time on the back porch, in front of a fire, etc. I love eating mexican food (the hotter the better), and right now I have the chance to work very closely with hispanics and learn all about them and eat all their food! I love being able to speak spanish! I love cooking! Bread, chicken, pasta, Mexican, Italian, you name it! I love to laugh, I love music, and I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, so it would be expected that I just believe everything my parents had taught me, and that's it. However, while I did learn much from my parents about the commandments of God, the gospel, Christ, God, and His Church, I chose to pray for myself to know whether these things I have learned for my entire life are true. I could no longer rely on the testimonies of my parents. I prayed to God and asked him if this was the true church, and if everything therein was true, including the Book of Mormon. I received an answer, a burning in my chest that filled me with happiness, to the point of almost tearing up. I then knew for certain that these things are true. The Book of Mormon is true, there are living Prophets on the earth today, and Christ is real, and atoned for our sins. I know God has provided a way for us to return to him, and it is testified to me through everything that he has given us. He has given us temples, prophets, the priesthood, and his words to feast upon (Bible, Book of Mormon, modern day teachings, etc). He has restored every truth that was once lost!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission where I preach the Gospel and learn from the scriptures 24/7! This is my life for 2 years. The gospel of Christ brings me happiness and peace, and assurance that someday I can return to live with God again through my faithfulness. I wish to bring that to others, so that we may all return to our Heavenly Father, and it's a privilege to give two of my years to God and to serving others, so they may receive the blessings of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I am striving constantly to do as Christ would do, and teach as Christ would, and I hope to help many people find the truth, and find that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and the authority and power of God is again returned to the earth. I'm trying to be like Jesus, and I seek improvement everyday. "Show me your faith without works, and I'll show you my faith by my works." James 2:18 I believe we live out faith through our obedience to God's commandents, and by our desire to follow the example of Jesus Christ in everything we do.
