Hi I'm Lance

I am 18 years old. I love music! I am a missionary in the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo West Mission.

About Me

I am 18 years old, and I am currently serving a mission for the LDS Church in The Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West Mission. I am learning to speak spanish, and loving every minute! I have challenges, and some days are hard, but I know that if I am obedient and work hard, the hard times will turn to sweet, joyful times. I love music! I sing and play the piano. I have done both for many years. I was involved in many music groups in grade school, junior high, and high school. I have grown to have a deep love for music, and a deep testimony of the power of music in our lives. I feel happy when I listen to uplifting and wholesome music, and I can invite the Spirit when I listen to or play Hymns and songs of worship.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and into a family with a long history of members. I never knew anything other than the Mormon church. I was blessed as a young child to have a desire to know more about the Church. I faithfully did all I could as a young child to learn about Christ. As many members, I relied on the testimonies of my parents and teachers to guide me in my life. It was not until highschool that I decided to gain my own testimony and learn for myself. Through faithfull church attendance, scripture study, and seminary participation, I have come to KNOW that this church is true. I have gained my own testimony and cherish it with all my heart. I know why I am here on this earth and how I can help build the kingdom of God. One thing that is awesome about the church is our ability to know. Many people say, "I belive this" or "I believe that" but with the true gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, I can say that I KNOW. It is such a blessing to KNOW the truth, not just believe. I KNOW that God lives. I KNOW that I am a son of a Heavenly Father. I KNOW that we have living prophets and apostles on this earth to lead and direct us in our life, and who speak with the voice of God. I KNOW that I can live with my family forever with Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the challenges that Lord has given me so that I can grow a testimony and become more life Him. I am a Mormon because I KNOW!

How I live my faith

In my mission, I am working hard to learn and be prepared to share the message of Christ and His restored gospel with the people in the D.R. This mission takes a lot of dedication and focus. I have learned so much by appling the lessons I study in my life. I see that when we apply the scriptures in our life, especially the Book of Mormon, we will have a greater understanding of Gods plan for us, and a greater desire to keep His commandments. I am very excited to share this message with the people in the Dominican Republic.
