Hi I'm Danelle

I'm a mother of five children. I'm a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was born, my mother and older sister attended church but my dad wasn't a member. We were a part-member family. When I was 9 and our family increased adding two brothers, my dad was baptized. After I graduated from high school I moved away to go to college and work. I wasn't living as I knew I should and I had a very difficult time. After several years I moved back home to work and continue schooling when I decided to serve a mission and was called to the Ireland Dublin mission. I wasn't able to finish my mission due to health issues and came home to marry my best friend and most favorite person in the world. We were married in the Mesa AZ temple and moved to Snowflake where he was raised and my ancestors settled. We have five children, one with multiple disabilities. I have had a wonderfully abundant life but have also had my share of troubles, some brought on by my own actions. Fortunately, I was taught the ordinance of repentence and have had the ability to be forgiven by my Heavenly Father so that I may again be happy. Life is hard but it is GOOD!!!

Why I am a Mormon

As I stated above, I was blessed to be shown the gospel from my birth. I have wonderful a family who have shown more than preached the gospel to me. I remember after I was baptized I was sitting in a chair surrounded by the priesthood members who laid their hands upon my head to confirm me a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. More importantly to me, I was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. During this time, I remember a voice in my head that whispered, "Open your eyes." I knew that prayers and blessings were said with eyes closed and didn't want to get into trouble so I kept my eyes closed. The voice came again, "Open your eyes". I felt like I just had to open my eyes and when I did I was looking directly in the eyes of my non-member father. The Spirit was so strong, I felt so loved and happy. I then remembered that I was supposed to be praying with my eyes closed and immediately did just that hoping that I wouldn't get in trouble. There have been numerous times that I have felt the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout my life. What a blessing to me to know where that wonderful feeling is coming from and what I need to do to feel it again and again. I absolutely love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of the wonderful things about being raised with the knowledge of the gospel is to know that we are to love one another and give freely of ourselves. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ both have the ability to come here to Earth and fulfill the work that needs to be done. They don't because they are teaching us that we need to serve each other and know that we are all brothers and sisters. We need to love one another and do what we can to help each other without wordly compensation. I have been blessed to work in different parts of the church and to also have served on the local school board. The wonderful feeling of the Spirit at times of service is unbeatable.
