Hi I'm Jared

I am a Mainer born and raised. I love to eat. I'm a hockey player, a music lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a guy that just likes to have a laugh. I love sports especially hockey and plan to play as long as I can. Music is a love of mine, whether it's making, playing or listening to, I love it. I love making new friends, learning, and challenging myself. I am the youngest of 7 kids, I love my family, and CAN'T wait to start my own someday soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church to be true. I have come to know myself by living the principles taught, and by acting upon the invitations given to me, to read the Book of Mormon and to find out for myself if it is really true. In the grand scheme of things, the gospel has just made me happy and has truly blessed my life. I've been able to see miracles both large and small, and haven been blessed to have wonderful family and friends that have blessed my life in so many ways. I have a testimony that God lives, I know that he does for he has answered my prayers in many diverse and countless ways, and I know that his Son, Jesus Christ provided a perfect atonement to bless each and every one of us. Most importantly I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is the word of God and is a witness that Jesus Christ lives and that he has restored his true and living church through a boy prophet; Joseph Smith. I know that anyone can come to find out that this church is true just as I know it to be true, and that it can and will bless your life in more ways than you can know. It brings happiness, peace, and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best person that I can be. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ as best as I can and try to do those things that he would do and because of this I have come to know him on a personal level. I try to read my scriptures and pray everyday and do the small and simple things, because I know that they make the big things. When I do these things, I am happy, and when I don't, I'm not. Pretty simple. I've served a full time mission in the England, Birmingham mission and testified of the divinity of the Book of Mormon and its witness of Jesus Christ. It was the best two years of my life. I now strive to fulfill the callings that have been given to me in the church and try to share the gospel with others both by example and by word. I know that my example speaks the loudest to others.
