Hi I'm Dallas

I grew up in 10 different houses in 9 different states. I like snowboarding, wakeboarding, frisbee and lacrosse. and I'm a mormon!

About Me

I love doing a little bit of everything. I'm not an all star at anything, but i can do enough to get along in nearly anything. My dad calls me a Jack of many, and a master of none. I love wakeboarding, snowboarding, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, volleyball, gymnastics, rock climbing, and pretty much anything else outdoors. I love singing in choirs and being in musicals, but I really dont have a very good singing voice. Maybe one day with a lot of practice it'll improve. I like to play around on the piano, but can only play a few memorised songs, and i started playing guitar about a month before i left on my mission and fell in love with it! I am a missionary currently serving in the California, Roseville Mission, (the best mission in the world!) and I absolutely LOVE it! I was raised in an amazing family where i knew i was loved. Especially by my mom. She has done so much for me, and made me who i am today. I love her so much! My dad has taught me to have work ethic, how to be optimistic, and to give my all with whatever I do. My family is so important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, and went to primary my whole life, but i still had to gain a testimony of my own. I had a lot of support from all of those around me, and great friends to lead me in the right direction, but I really didnt have a strong testimony of this gospel until i was in highschool. My Jr. and Sr. year i lived in Bountiful, Utah, and i had the best examples i could ever ask for! My church leaders were so motivational, and really did eveything they could to help us strengthen our testimonies. My friends were all studs with solid testimonies, and on top of all those examples, i had my faithful family (immediate and extended). i was completely surrounded by people who had the spirit with them all of the time! You really cant deny the feelings you get when you are around people like that who live what they believe. I always thought it was true growing up, but during these key years of my life, I was really able to exercise my faith, and solidify that testimony i had growing all those early years.

How I live my faith

currently, i devote all of my time to serving God. All of it. I am serving a full time mission where we leave behind our friends, family, education, work, sports teams, and everything else for two years in order to bless the lives of countless others with the good news of Christ's gospel! We spend our time teaching others about Christ and his sacrafice for us, and about Gods plan for us, and how we need to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone holding the Priesthood of God. We also do as much service for people as we can. When we're not teaching, we are our mowing lawns, picking up yards, cleaning out gutters, digging trenches, raking leaves, or anything else we can do to help bless the lives of others. We are simply trying to live how Jesus would if he were walking the Earth today. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but it's the most rewarding work i've ever participated in! I feel the blessings from my heavely father every day, even the hard ones, and i know he loves me and is proud of me. That is the greatest truth i will ever know. I am so blessed to be engaged in such a great cause!
