Hi I'm Carissa Pettit

I work at a university library. I studied food. I love sharing the joy that the gospel brings to my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, and majored in food science with a minor in chemistry. I now work in the Special Collections department at the BYU Library. I grew up as the youngest of six children, and married the oldest of eight children in February 2014. I love to read, be outdoors, and spend time laughing with those that I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the happiest way that I have found to live. Sometimes I choose to go against the things I have learned from this gospel. Every time that I have chosen to go contrary to what I have felt to be right, sadness and confusion overshadow my life. When I choose to do the things that I have prayed about and believe to be right, peace and joy come back. I have felt the personal, one-on-one comfort that our Savior brings. There is something in this message for everyone. The gospel of our Savior is universal.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being open about where I go to church on Sunday and what activities I set aside time to attend during the week. Within the church, I have taught classes about the doctrine, organized monthly activities for women, and shared my musical talents. I strive to live my life in a Christ-like manner, sharing the message of hope and eternal families that the Atonement brings. A personal relationship with our Savior is possible for every single person. That relationship will lift your view and brighten your spirit.
