Hi I'm Nikki

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother, wife, grandmother, and web designer.

About Me

My biggest joy in life is my family. I love the "litle ones." I raised 3 sons, and now have 9 grandchildren. When I'm not working on one of my websites, I love to quilt, read, and play the piano. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Interior Design.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Mormon church when I was only 12 years old. I was looking for the meaning of life, and I knew I had found it when I was taught by the missionaries. I was blessed to have great role models in the church; not only people who helped me learn, but those who sacrificed their time so that I could experience wholesome activities. My church and my faith are at the core of my being. Through study, prayer, and living the gospel, I have built a strong testimony that has never left me. It guides my life, brings me joy, and grows with each day. My faith in my savior, Jesus Christ is a prized possession of unmeasurable worth. As a mature woman, my greatest joy is seeing all of my children and grandchildren living good lives and building their faith by study, prayer, service to others and Church attendance.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe that we again have a prophet on the earth, and listening and following his counsel is a blessing. In our church we believe in serving others. We have no paid ministry. My husband and I have done many things to serve others and build up our Church. My callings have ranged from being President of the Women's organization to playing the piano when the children sing. Above all, we work together, to strengthen the church, help those in need, and to try and follow the teachings and example of our saviour. Our 3 sons chose to serve as missionaries for 2 years. I hope to live long enough to also see my grandchildren serve as missionaries.

What is faith?

Nikki
Faith is hard to define, because our minds are limited while we are here on earth. We need faith because of these limitations. For example- look up at the sky on a starry night. We know that the sky and space go on forever. Can you conceive that? Can you really imagine something never ending? Yet, what is the alternative? Would you come to a brick wall, and then there was nothing on the other side? In my mortal mind, I know I can never truly understand how space can go on forever. I believe faith was given to us to help us understand God, why we are here on earth, and how we should live our lives. Whether we choose to develop our faith is up to us. Unless you get on your knees, and pray for faith, you will never understand it. Faith penetrates the heart and soul in a way that is understandable only to those who seek and find it.
