Hi I'm Kathy Wells

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of two and a grandmother of one. I am married to a good man whose family has been mormon for at least six generations. We have been married for nearly 27 years. I'm an Air Force veteran, serving from 1977 to 1981. I was an aircraft mechanic, working on fighter aircraft. I am also a ceramic artist. My hope is to develop a line of bake ware and dishware. I'm an only daughter with three brothers. Born in the United States, my heritage is Italian and Slovenian. And l love dogs, especially American Pit Bull Terriers. We have two. One is a 10-year-old male that weighs 80+ pounds and an absolute social butterfly. The other is a 9-year-old female who is a little more reserved, but no less sweet.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young teenager, my parents divorced. Something about that sparked a very strong desire to know the truth. I looked for a long time, going down many different paths. Some not so great. After my time in the military, I went back home. My father in the meantime had remarried a latter-day saint woman and joined the Church before their wedding. One night her and I were talking and she said to me "You know, you lived before this life." A light went on in my head and I said "That's right." I knew it was true. I decided to attend Sunday meetings with my father and his wife. When I walked into the church building something said to me that I had found what I was looking for. I know the Church is the place to find the answers to my questions about the purpose of this life. We are not here by accident. This life has a purpose.

How I live my faith

I have spent most of my time in the Church as a teacher. Mostly a teacher of children, but I have also taught classes for adults. Right now I'm teaching the women in our ward. I'm love the Gospel and love teaching what I've learned. I love singing and sing in the ward choir. Been doing that for more than 30 years. I was singing in the choir even before I was baptized.
