Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college grad, with post grad degree working in the professional world. The most important things of my life are my wife, children and now grandchildren. I enjoy the outdoors, and outdoor activities. I spend some time every year hunting, fishing and camping. I love camping with the family. I worked for many years as a professional hunting and fishing guide in Wyoming and Arizona. I found that working in that world allowed me to give my children experiences out doors not available otherwise. I am now involved in competitive long range rifle shooting and all the stuff around that. Again, gives me a chance and excuse to travel to where the kids are or spend time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, my great grand parents on both sides joined the church in Ireland and England and immigrated to the US in the mid 1800s. I grew up with a sense of the historical importance of those events. As a young man I came to know for myself the reasons that they would do that as I acquired my own testimony of the gospel and the church. As I tried to determine what was next in my life I received the gift of a witness of the gospel and the love of our Savior in such a way that I determined to serve a mission for Him. And I did. I spent 2 years in Mexico as a missionary for the church. In that process I found the Book of Mormon to be true, a witness of God and His Son. That chain of events and circumstances has guided my life every day since that time more than 40 years ago. I have come to see not just the historial significance of my roots but gratitude for the spiritual and temporal gifts that have come to me and my family through the efforts and sacrifices of others. Most importantly of those is of course our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ whom I love with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I serve our church and community by trying to be a good christian. I have had the gift of countless assignments . I have served in things such as Boy Scouts, Sunday School and various administrative positions. I have found as I have gotten older I enjoy more and more the service rendered to others on an individual basis. I have felt the love of our Savior and His approval as I try to help those in need with illness or other of life's challenges.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

I know the purpose of my life has been to try me to see if I would choose to live with faith in Jesus Christ. I am in the last quarter of my life and my faith has grown and so has my joy and peace even in the face of great challenge and even in the face of my mistakes and failures. I grow more amazed at his gift to me of this life and that he has turned the course of my life to my blessing and benefit. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of my marriage and my family. Marriage with faith in Jesus Christ brings more joy than I had once thought possible and gives strength to face challenges larger than I could imagine. My sweetheart and I have shared more than 40 years of that joy and those challenges. I know it has only been possible with faith He has blessed me with. Show more Show less
