Hi I'm Teri.

I'm married, have two boys, and love spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family on a farm in Utah. My parents taught us how to work hard but always made time for some family fun. Perhaps that is why my favorite activity is spending time with family and friends visiting, hiking, camping, biking, playing board games, and performing music. I also enjoy reading and photography. I graduated with a BFA in art education and a minor in music. I taught for two years and then retired as a teacher to become a stay-at-home mom (I'm not sure which is the harder job). At times I tire of laundry, dishes, and cleaning, but I value my time spent in the home making a peaceful haven for my husband and two sons.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught me from my youth to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ through church attendance, scripture study, service to others, fasting and prayer. I found living this way brought me great feelings of peace and happiness. I felt God's love and blessings abounding in my life. Furthermore, as I studied and prayed, the Holy Ghost witnessed to me that the Bible and Book of Mormon are true. As I listened to our modern day prophets, the Holy Ghost witnessed that they are true prophets of God, that their teachings come from Him. Because of these experiences, I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and I know the peace I feel in my life comes from following the teachings of Jesus Christ and his prophets. I know that God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, live. I know Jesus suffered upon the cross, paid the price for our sins, and was resurrected making it possible for us to be forgiven of our sins and live again. They love each one of us and have provided the truths of this gospel to help us find happiness in this life and everlasting joy throughout eternity. Because of the witnesses I have receive, I choose to be a faithful member of this, the true church. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to live as Jesus would have me live. One of the ways I do this is through service. I have had many opportunities in our church to serve others including serving a full time mission to Paraguay, South America. Currently, I am the president of the children's organization in our area. I love spending time with the children and teaching them the gospel. I also serve children in our community by helping at the elementary and middle schools. I am thankful that I have these opportunities to serve because they bring joy into my life.
