Hi I'm Nicholas Smith

I was born in Denver, Colorado, lived most of my life in Ogden, Ut. I'm serving a mission to Wisconsin Milwaukee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am right now a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I am serving my mission in the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission, and I have never been happier in my life. I have graduated from highschool, gone to college, been in love, been destroyed by love, seen the sunset on the shores of a different continent. I love to sing, act, play ball, laugh, and enjoy my time with family and friends. When I am done with my mission, I plan on finishing school with a degree in metallurgy. I've love the mountains, and have been described as a son of the mountains, and can't wait to be back in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church. I have never lived as a member of a another denomination, nor have ever felt the desire too. I love being a member of the restored church of Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon, has allowed me to know were I come, why I am here, and were I am going. By following Christ's teachings, I have been able to know happiness and joy, even on this world of death, destruction, and despair. It has allowed me to change myself, to become something more, something better, something new. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that his Church has been restored on the earth, and that you can have happiness now, and for eternity. I am a missionary. That is my calling.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Nicholas Smith
As a member of the Church, the Lord has asked that I serve all people, of all faiths, cultures, and ethnicities. The Lord does not care about what a person is called, what his skin color is, whether it is a man or a woman I help, what he believes, where he is from, or who he is born too. The Lord looks upon the soul of a person(1 Samuel 16:7), not on who, what, where the came from, or how they came to be. In the Church, we are asked to follow the example of the Lord. So I will do my best, and follow his example, by loving all, helping all, and serving all. For, as said in Mosiah 2:17, "...when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Nicholas Smith
Being a memeber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have recieved great knowledge and comfort from the teachings of the Savior and His gospel. It would be selfish of me not to share this gift that I have recieved from Savior, so I served for two years of my life as a prosyleting missionary. After my mission, I will continue to share my testimony with others in hope that I may help someone find the peace and joy that I've felt from being an active member in his church. Show more Show less
