Hi I'm Jennifer

I live in Washington. I have 4 awesome kids and a wonderful husband. I am a massage therapist and I love leaves. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like sunsets and waterfalls and all kinds of other nature-ish things! I went to massage school in 1996 and got married in 1998. I am a stay at home mom with 4 kiddos. I am a compulsive overeater that is trying my best to recover. (fingers crossed) I love Jesus Christ and his gospel. I love it when I am reading the scriptures and there's a verse that just so happens to be what I need to hear and that very moment. I love Christmas music and think it should be listened to more than just in Nov/Dec! My hubby and I along with his parents, have a gold/silver/coin buying business that is doing pretty well. I like to sing but I'm not very good at it! My daughter always tells me to be quiet! I grew up in the church and so did my husband and that has helped us a lot in our lives. We're doing our best to raise our kids to believe in Jesus Christ and to be honest, kind, respectful and hard working. Not as easy as it sounds, but as long as we try we have not failed!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up in the Church, I still had to be converted. I did the typical teenager thing and rebeled against my parents and what I had been taught. Even though I was doing less than righteous things, I never stopped believing in Jesus Christ. It wasn't until I had a roommate that was an athiest that I realized I believed what the church taught and that I should act like it. So I moved out and back in with my parents and started attending church again and met my husband and we started our lives together doing our best to do what we knew to be right. That's not to say that we, or rather I, don't mess up now and again and have to refocus my thoughts and change my behavior. Nobody's perfect. I know that the Savior lives and loves me and that this Church is true. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today and that he receives revelation for us from the Lord. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God as well as the Bible. I know that our Father in Heaven here's and answers our prayers. I know that if I do my best to do the will of God, He will help me with the things that I need the most help with in my life. I'm thankful to my parents for teaching me about the gospel and for taking me to church each Sunday when I was young. I'm so thankful to my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ for my life, my faith, my family and my testimony that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I have been called to help with the primary children at church from the ages of 18 months to 12 years old. I do my best to be a good example to the kids and to help teach them about their Savior and Heavenly Father and the love that they have for them. I enjoy going to church each week to learn more about the gospel and to feel the love of my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I try to make sure to read my scriptures every morning as well as to pray morning and night and several times throughout the day. It helps me so much to make the right choices and helps me to feel better about myself. I try to have little teaching moments with my children throughout the day about the gospel, so they can also feel the spirit of God. I also really enjoy reading the magazines that the church puts out to help increase my faith and testimony.
