Hi I'm Brad Unfred

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Love spending time with my wife and kids. I enjoy working, fishing, refinishing furniture and fast cars.

Why I am a Mormon

My walk with the Lord has been a long one. Even from an early age I have always felt the Lords presence with me. As a child I remember calling out to God, asking for help. Even though I grew up with no religion in my home, I always knew that the Lord was there for me. As an adult I attended several different denominations and always experienced the same thing. Preaching from the pulpit about how wrong other religions were compared to there's. Bad mouthing people within there own Church and other denominations seemed to be an every week occurrence. After being married for several years my wife starting to express her desire to attend a Church, I was not interested at all! Two years later we had moved and our neighbors invited us to come to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with them the next Sunday. To be honest the only reason I went was to satisfy my wife's desire to go to Church, one time and that would be it for me. Well, I was right, that was it for me! I had never felt so at home and had never felt the Spirit so strongly. Nine years later I still attend Church every Sunday and have enjoyed every minute of it. One thing I have always stuck with me about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the 11th Article of Faith found at the end of the Pearl of Great Price (Book of Mormon Scriptures). "We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may". To me this states that just because you may not be of my faith, I still Love you. We all have our agency to direct our own life's in the direction we choose. No bad mouthing, no criticism. I Love you no matter what denomination you may belong to. We are all children of our Heavenly Father. I want to thank my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for always being there for me and I share my testimony with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

My Church calling is being a Ward Missionary. I have Loved this opportunity, it has allowed me to share my conversion story and lets me get to know other Church members better and non-members as well. I enjoy reading The New and Old Testaments as well as diving into the Book of Mormon. I enjoy attending Church every week with my family and partaking of the Sacrament. There is nothing like renewing my covenants with the Lord on a weekly basis to keep the spirit with me.
