Hi I'm Pearl Aldridge

I'm one of 7 kids, and I enjoy making family films. I love playing the saxophone, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 3rd kid out of 7 children, and I am currently going to school at Brigham Young University. In high school, I was in the Marching Band, the Jazz Band, and the Wind Ensemble, and I've played the alto, tenor, and bari saxophone. I love spending time with my siblings, especially when it involves me beating them at Just Dance 2 on the Wii.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of this church. My mother was a member her whole life and my father converted when he was 17. Although I've never done any deep research about other religions, I know that this Gospel makes me happy. This is my simple testimony. I know that living the Church's standards will only help me to become a more honest, loving, giving, righteous woman. I also love being an example and standing out among my friends with my standards. I know that God listens to my prayers and that we have living prophets today. This is why I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Back in high school I was a youth leader for the girls ages 16-18. For this, I got to help plan meetings and activities. But even without an official calling, I lived my faith by trying to always be a good example. All of my friends knew that I was Mormon, and knew that I would call them out if they began cursing, or telling dirty jokes in front of me - and I loved that they knew it! I believe that through my example, I was able to teach many people about our Church who may never have had the chance to learn first-hand about our standards.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Pearl Aldridge
As Mormons, we believe that the family is ordained of God. It is a crucial unit in this life on earth, as well as in Heaven. We believe that families can live together forever, even after we die. This brings great comfort to me, since my family is one of the most loved parts of my life. I am glad to know that we will always be together, that we will always have our inside jokes, that we will always be able to laugh and talk together, no matter what happens in this life. I believe that families can be a great benefit while traveling through this life. My family has always been a source of guidance, a place for fun and laughter, a place to learn work and how to deal with trials, and a place to go to escape the temptations of the world. I believe that a close-knit family can help you get through many trials in this life. This is why we believe that families are so important - they are a crucial element in this life.
