Hi I'm Michelle

I live in Hawaii. I am an entreprenuer and I love my family. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a 4-year old daughter with another baby on the way. I am an entreprenuer and own a successful company that helps people when they experience property damage. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to family and career because I strive to be the very best wife/mother and business owner. I am friendly, passionate, goal-oriented and believe that being positive is a choice. I play soccer, spend time with family & friends, and read on my free time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a loving family with no talk of God or religion in our home. So until recently, I believed what the public schools taught me (world was created by big bang). I've had a successful life of many achievements (all-star high school soccer player, married high school sweetheart, 6-figure salary, puchased a home at age 24, etc.), but I always felt like something was missing. I thought that having a child would make me complete, but when I had my daughter, I still felt empty. I got really depressed. During this time, I came across a bible and started reading for the first time. I felt a sense of peace and warmth in my heart that I had never felt before. This is what I was missing - a spiritual connection! I went to many different churches to discover which was the right one for me. At first I thought I'd research them all, list the pros/cons of each one, and then choose the one I like best. But then it dawned on me that if there really is a God, he would show me the right church to join if I just asked him. So that's what I did. I prayed for the first time and asked God to show me which church is true. The next day, LDS missionairies called me out of the blue and asked if I would meet with them. Knowing this was an answer to my prayers, I agreed to meet with them. During those meetings, I gained my testimony. Even though I was new to religion, I came to know, with every ounce of my being, that this is the one and only true church on earth. God answered my prayer because He knew I would follow through on whatever church he guided me to. It hasn't been easy - the LDS gospel has extremely high standards so it's been a big adjustment, but it's totally worth it. I now have the most incredible sense of joy, peace, and fulfillment. I am grateful to Heavenly Father and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Since I was baptized in 2009, I can totally feel the difference in my life from before I had the LDS faith to now and I treasure this gospel like it's the most precious diamond in the entire world. And because this gospel is so precious and life-enhancing, I want to share it with everyone. Before I joined this church I had a lot of stereotypes that turned out to be completely wrong. I used to see all of the "rules" as restrictions, but what I've come to realize is that Heavenly Father has commandments for us to obey so that we can be happy. They are for our benefit and will bring more joy, peace, and love into our lives than we could have ever achieved without them. I've always had very high standards for my life and would never align myself with a church that was not modeled after the pure and perfect love of Jesus Christ. I hope my story resonates with you and that you are encouraged to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's an AMAZING journey...enjoy the ride!
