Hi I'm Shaelyn

I'm a missionary in Slovakia, a BYU student, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm from a little town in California, and spent a year at BYU! Right now, I am serving a mission for the church in Slovakia, and am so excited to bring these people the gospel I love!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As long as I can remember my parents have taught me in the ways of the gospel. At first, I attended church for my parents, using their faith as my own. Now, after countless experiences God has given me proving his existence and love, I know for myself that this church is His only true church. I feel the spirit of God witness of the gospel's truthfulness every time I sincerely pray, read the Book of Mormon, and listen to spiritual music. I am a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church. I am a Mormon because the strength I receive from Christ is the reason why I have happiness and hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by prayerfully setting standards for myself, and then sticking to them. It's not always easy or popular; I often make mistakes. But by trying my best to be my best, and relying on my Savior for those times that I slip, I find satisfaction and joy. I'm serving a mission so that through the gospel of Jesus Christ, people in Slovakia might be able to receive the strength and joy that I do!
