Hi I'm Linda

Hi, I’m Linda. I was born in England. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in England and came to the United States in 1963. I have lived in England, Germany, Texas, Illinois, California and now in the Pacific Northwest. I have fostered 84 children and have three children of my own and two step children. I am married to a wonderful man and between us we have 13 grandchildren. I love to garden, read mysteries, work on my genealogy, read the scriptures and serve others. I enjoy working on my genealogy and trying to find my ancestors. Although I have no pictures of those who lived many years ago, I feel as though I know them and I look forward to meeting them one day. I love the gospel. I love my church. I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The conversion was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I used to believe that going to church on a Sunday and trying to be a good person was all that was required of me. But I have discovered that by attempting to live my life in a Christ-like way is a 24/7 commitment to my Heavenly Father and to Jesus Christ. It includes reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon on a daily basis; praying daily either on my own or with my husband or as a family; helping and loving others, not only in the church but in and outside of the community. By working on these commitments I have come to know and love my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father and His son live. I know this is true because my prayers have been answered many times. It is wonderful to know that Christ lives and through revelation He talks with a prophet here on earth in these latter days; a prophet who can direct and guide us like the prophets of old. I know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going after this life.

How I live my faith

I find great joy in being able to serve others. I try to be a good example to my family and a good citizen in my community. I have had many callings in the church and each calling has helped me grow, either spiritually, or by finding talents I didn’t know I possessed. These callings have given me more love and compassion in my heart for others. Currently I am a Primary Teacher to ten nine year olds who already have a great knowledge of the gospel. We learn together and teach each other.
