Hi I'm Ethan

I'm a reader. I like to do calligraphy and draw. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read a good book. I love fantasy books mainly. Anything to do with dragons, magic, swords, and vampires. My favorite book series is the "Twilight" series. I love to do calligraphy (a fancy form of writing) and love to draw, particularly tribal designs of dragons and wolves. I love swords and things like that. I am going into Criminal Justice to become a police officer. I was in a police explorers program for a year and ablsolutely loved it. I am not afraid to be the different one who everybody else thinks is crazy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Even though I was born into the church I continue to live it's teachings because I know that they are the commandments and teachings of Jesus Christ. I know that I cannot be happy if I do not follow them and follow Jesus Christ. I have seen the sorrow and suffering that friends of mine have had because they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ and made poor decisions in their lives and have felt the joy of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost testifying to me that this is the Church of Jesus Christ today with preisthood authority and a prophet leading us today and like the prophet Joseph Smith said of his first vision," I know it and I know that God knows it, and I cannot deny it."

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by serving others. I have always been taught that we should help others that is what my dad always taught us. I am now serving others by serving a 2 year mission by teaching others about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping recieve the joy and blessings I have recieved from the knowledge of the gospel and will be home January of 2012. I was in a police explorers program (a volunteer program where you learn about Law Enforcement) for a year before my mission and was able to share my faith when I left for my mission.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Ethan
The missionaries will talk about Jesus Christ and his gospel when they visit your home. They will share about his plan for us and about His Atonement. They also share the unique doctrine of the church of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ through his prophet Joseph Smith. Also, they will with you the Book of Mormon and how you can know that it is true and the word of God as well as the Bible. The message the missionaries share is all centered on Jesus Christ. How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Ethan
It is actually quite easy to find someone to talk to about the Mormon religion. Members are everywhere in the world because we are a world wide church. You could have friends that are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) and not even know it. I am sure that if you tell them that you would like to learn more about the Mormon church they would be happy to help you learn more. You can also go on Mormon.org and request missionaries to come to your home or have a friend that is a member of the Mormon church talk to the missionaries and schedule a time to meet with them. Also, you can locate a local meeting house and attend worship services there. Show more Show less
