Hi I'm Rebecca

I have a passion for being a wife & mother! I'm also an optimist, leader, writer, zany speaker & business trainer. I’m a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up at the foot of Mount Timpanogos in Utah where I enjoyed a happy, thriving childhood; though we currently reside in PA. I’m also adopted as are our two children & I’ve always known without doubt that God brings the right spirit to the right home one way or another! We refer to ourselves as a family of mutts considering we don’t share the same genetic make up but our HEARTS are IDENTICAL & knitted together with threads of love! I love my family intensely & feel supremely blessed to be a wife and mother. My husband & I are enjoying an incredible 36 years of marriage thus far; we are eternally devoted to one another and to our family and believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is our compass as we strive to live happy, productive, meaningful, spiritual, service oriented lives. Having a zest for life, shared goals, sense of humor & deep love & respect for one another are also keys to our happiness. Life can be quirky, challenging & down right difficult but trials & tests strengthen us & further develop our personal resolve and compassion for other peoples strife. I enjoy travel, reading, writing, photography, theater, art, film, music, history, home & family activities, etc., & I also have a passion for educating, inspiring & motivating people “with a twist” through my professional development training business. I have an infectious, joyous attitude that touches lives & helps to lift spirits; it is my mission in life to help others realize their eternal potential!

Why I am a Mormon

I was reared in a loving, active Latter-day Saint family surrounded by extended family. From childhood I had the privilege of experiencing what life was like as an active member of the church. I am the woman I am today because of my belief in a loving Heavenly Father & in His son Jesus Christ, our brother, redeemer & savior and in the Holy Ghost; all three, distinct individuals. Because of this sure knowledge my commitment to gospel principles & obedience to the commandments has provided me, & my family, with a sure path to follow that gives me great hope & peace & has helped me develop into an exceedingly happy, thriving, fulfilled individual. From my early beginnings in the church through current day I have experienced remarkable opportunities through study & prayer to learn about Christ’s gospel & God’s plan of salvation for all of His children on this earth. I have compared other religions & I know without doubt that the doctrine, policies & procedures of the church are divinely inspired & that Christ directs His church today just as He did in biblical times. Christ’s church is a gospel focused on unconditional love for all mankind, repentance, forgiveness, service to others, personal growth & distinct knowledge that we existed living with God before this earth life; & that we can return to live with Him again if we obey His commandments & perform the ordinances necessary to enter His presence. Through personal study & prayer I have a remarkable relationship with my Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. They are with me always & I receive inspiration as well as personal revelation regarding many facets of my life on a continual basis, as can you. God our father lives & Jesus is the Christ; He lives & loves us & wants us to thrive & seek to be happy. It is your choice to have the courage to find out if what I am saying is true. Through obedience, faith, study & baptism your life will also be supremely blessed! Take a leap of faith and find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I’ve lived in various wards (congregations) from Hawaii to Pennsylvania, USA & have enjoyed countless opportunities to learn, grow & serve others; service is key. I have had opportunities to develop teaching & leadership skills, home & family skills, organization, planning & implementation skills, public speaking, activity & event planning & missionary efforts combined with activities focusing on sports, cultural arts, personal development & humanitarian efforts; enjoying laughter & fun side by side with members & non members alike. (Throughout the world, wards consist of a congregation made up of a specific geographical area; a stake consists of several wards & branches of the church.) All members serve in diverse, assigned callings (positions) & each provide us with extraordinary opportunities to be a working part of the church & to develop & share our talents, skills & knowledge. A few callings I have served in include several years in our stake as president in the oldest & largest continuing women’s organization in the world; we worked with ten wards & branches. My counselors (team) & I provided continual training & support for other female leaders in each ward focusing on areas such as education, home & family, compassionate service, humanitarian efforts, etc. We also planned many incredible women’s conferences & leadership training sessions. I loved the various men & women I served with & assisted. As Activities Chairman on both the ward & stake level I have planned & implemented complex activities benefiting the diverse needs of all members of the church focusing on: sports, dances, seminars, cultural, fine arts & musical programs. My recent calling was that of Gospel Doctrine instructor; I love studying the scriptures & teaching from both the Bible & Book of Mormon. My vast experience also extends into the community at large; we as Latter-day Saints bring a wealth of experience & ideas to what ever group or organization we assist throughout the world!
