Hi I'm Corinne

I'm an artist. I love laughter. I'm serving a full-time mission in Arizona, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college senior studying interior design and architecture, but I am taking some time off to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am the oldest of seven children, and I have grown to love having a large family. I love humor-you might say I'm somewhat of a "class clown." I love all kinds of music, and sang competitively for a number of years. I LOVE anything purple-it's my all-time favorite color.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Latter-day Saint because I know that this gospel is the Lord's true church here again on the earth, and it has brought me the greatest happiness in my life. When I was a teenager, I chose a different path for a time, and I was more miserable, angry, and selfish than I ever have been. When I hit rock bottom, I decided that I would find out if this church really was the truth. I got my answer, and I have never looked back. I have tried every day since to live a life consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ, and I know that the happiness and fulfillment that I feel are directly tied to my efforts to follow Him and live His gospel. I love the Lord with all my heart! I know that He has a plan for each of His children; that He is in the details of our lives. I know that this is His church, led by a living prophet, just as in the times of the Bible. I know that all those who live it will find true, lasting, deep joy in their lives. I know that it is only through the help of our Savior that any of us can change. I love reading from the Book of Mormon and the Bible-they are the words of God, and they bring peace to my mind and soul. It is because of this knowledge that I have chosen to put aside all of my personal affairs for 18 months, and go teach and share with others what I know to be true, and invite them to find out for themselves.

How I live my faith

I serve right now in my local congregation as a "Ward Missionary," which means I help include and spend time with those who are not members of our faith, but are investigating it and meeting with the missionaries. I also drive the Sister missionaries to their appointments once a week and help them teach those who they are visiting. I visit several women in our congregation on average once a month, and share with them a message about Christ, and see how they and their families are doing. It is a great way to keep track of the needs of those in our congregation, and to make sure that no one is left behind or forgotten. Soon I will be leaving for my full-time mission, where I will devote myself to studying, meeting people and teaching about Jesus Christ and His restored Church.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Corinne
The best solution would be to talk to a member of the Church. There are member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints everywhere, and we are all willing to share more about our beliefs with those who are interested. You could also find a local meetinghouse, and come a worship with us on a Sunday, and see exactly what we do. If you don't know a member of the Church, you can call 1-888-537-6600, and have the missionaries in your area come a meet with you. They will come and share some of Christ's teachings and answer the questions that you may have. Show more Show less
