Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife and mother to two teenage boys and a teenage neice and nephew. I love the outdoors and camping.

About Me

I work with children in the public school system because I want to make a difference. I love to travel and take my family to see new places. I have a goal to see all 50 states. I enjoy reading, cross-stitch, gardening and camping. I was a military wife for 20 years and it gave me a greater appreciation for my country.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. I was born and raised in the church. As I became an adult I came to know for myself that Jesus Christ was my Savior. The values that I learned as a child have helped to shape me into the woman I am today. I have only good things happen in my life when I follow God's commandments. So many times I have been touched by the Spirit telling me I am on the right path. I love my Heavenly Father. I love the Savior. When the trials in life come, and come they do, I know that I am only a prayer away from a loving Heavenly Father who hears me, and cares about me. I know the Book of Mormon is true scripture written for our day. I feel peace when I read both the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try every day to be a Disciple of Christ. I choose for myself to dress modestly, to not drink alcohol or use any other addictive drugs. I don't use profane language. I enjoy doing service for other people, and I try to listen to promptings of the Holy Ghost , telling me who could need a friend. I have worked with the children in our church for the past 3 years, and have come to love them dearly. I serve in my community working with the youth on occaision. I have never found it hard or burdensome to live my religion. It is a blessing in my life.
