Hi I'm Rob Sherwood

I grew up in western New York. I coach/play/ref/watch soccer. I have a great family. I am a history professor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an History professor at a small liberal arts Junior College in Milledgeville, GA. I love my job! In addition to this, I coach the Middle School soccer teams at the associated Prep school. There are upwards of 50 kids out on the field at some times, it can be a little crazy. I am also a referee for High School soccer, my wife says that I get paid to exercise! My research areas for my job include Swiss History and Swiss-American History. It gives me a good excuse to take research trips to Switzerland and bring back some really good chocolate. When not on the soccer field or at work, I am usually with my family. I have 5 kids, each is unique, but I love them all. I have the best wife in the world, for some reason she said yes that she would marry me. I am so grateful that.

Why I am a Mormon

The teaching of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provide clarity and give me purpose. The simple knowledge of who I am, where I am going, and what I am here on Earth for are so important. I am grateful for the teaching of the Church.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the young men of the Middle Georgia area. The young men, ages 12-18 area a great inspiration to me. Their desires to do good, they striving to be a positive example, they are amazing. I count myself lucky, blessed, privileged to work with them.
