Hi I'm Kathryn May

I'm a wife, mother, and business professional. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the sixth of seven kids. I have 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 18 nieces and nephews. I am married to a wonderful man, we have 3 kids and are expecting our fourth. Right now I manage a small bookstore, but am looking forward to the day I can be at home full time with my kids. I love to spend time with my family, read, watch movies, sing, cook, play games and crochet. Some of my favorite books are; Crime and Punishment, The Fountainhead, The Hunger Games, Leven Thumps, anything by Josi Kilpack and Agatha Christie...just to name a few.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It wasn't until I turned 21 that I really understood why though. I went through a divorce at that time, and growing up in the church, divorce was not common and I had a hard time understanding why. "Why me?" was a question that I asked a lot at that time. Through that time, and experiences that I've had since, my testimony has grown so much. I have come to know for myself that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love ME. They know who I am and they know what I'm going through. The Atonement was, and is the single most important event in the history of the world, Christ performed that act of love with me in mind. He personally experienced everything that I have and ever will experience. I have come to see that the Atonement is all about hope. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is what helps me get through each day. It gives me hope that "this too shall pass".

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to "live" and practice my faith. I have taught preschool age children, participated in planning activities for youth, and visited women in my area as well as others. I love that everything that is done in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps to lead others to Christ. Right now I have the opportunity to help visit the women in my area. I have been able to get to know so many amazing people and establish friendships. Each month the church provides a message to share with the women, and EVERY month without fail I gain something from it. I think that through all of the chances I've had to serve and live my faith I have grown more than anyone I've taught.
