Hi I'm Sean Vang

I was born in Fresno, CA I love Star Wars. I like being outside and free. I am Hmong. I am Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Fresno in 1990. I moved to St. Paul, MN and stayed there for 10 years of my life. There we met the missionaries and was baptized when I was 10 along with my family. We moved to Fresno, California when I was 12 and have stayed here ever since. I served a LDS mission in Alaska. I live with my mom and a sister and 3 brothers one of which is currently serving a LDS mission in he Phillipinnes. I love playing outside or just doing anything outside. I really like to play paintball and airsoft or anything involving guns. I love to play volleyball and like to play boardgames with my friends. I love movies. I am an average young adult I guess.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know it is true because I read it and prayed about it like the Elders ask me to. I got my answer and never looked back. I am also a Mormon because it has provided answers to my question about life. Now as a missionary I have only increased my testimony of the truth of this gospel. I know this is Jesus Christ's church. I know that if you want to know you must read and pray about the Book of Mormon just like I did. I promise you that you will get an answer. As you really want to know and act on your answer. I know that prayers are answered no matter how big or small the situations. I know that we have a prophet on the Earth today. That the lord is the same today, tomorrow and forever. I know He loves us and will always love us. He is our Heavenly Father He has a plan for me and for you. Pray to know if these things are true, He'll answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example people around me. I served a LDS mission in Alaska for 2 years. Where I helped teach people about the gospel and invite them to try out the Lord's invitation to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. Now that I am home I serve the Bishop of my ward as a secretary. I have 6 hours of church average and on Tuesday nights I am here at church as well. It is a lot of church but I know that what I do helps move God's kingdom along.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Sean Vang
The authority to perform baptisms is really important. It was so important that it is mentioned in the Bible many times. Jesus Christ, the Son of God went to John the Baptist because he had the authority to baptize. Even John knew that Jesus was the Christ and answered "I had need to be baptized of thee..." but the Lord told him to baptize Him so He could be an example to all of us. So yeah, I believe authority is pretty important. Show more Show less
