Hi I'm Dawson

I'm a Canadian. I'm fantastic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well first of all, I like to think I'm unique. At least, that's what I keep telling myself. I like superheroes quite a bit and my favourite is Ironman. So, one day I'll make a real Ironman armour. Also, I served a full-time proselyting mission in the Canada Edmonton Mission. Which is weird, cause I was born in Edmonton. I only lived in the Edmonton area for 1 year before moving down to Cardston Alberta and living there for 12 years. Then, we moved out to Ottawa Ontario and my family has lived there ever since. It's fun stuff. I'm currently 21 years old. I like playing sports as well as being in school. I believe you should be able to have fun no matter what your situation is. I'm often heard saying that it's a "fantastic" day, mainly cause I like being fantastic. It's more enjoyable then being miserable. I've been called a nerd before, but that's mainly because I liked going to school. Math and Science were my favourite subjects. I'm also now trying to get into school and ultimately become an Optometrist or a Pediatrician. That's me.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I'm a Mormon, it's true. That's also pretty much why I'm a Mormon. Cause it IS true. On my fathers side I'm an 8th Generation Mormon. That's a long line of LDS ancestry and it may be said I'm just following my ancestors foot steps. But, I know that it's the true church. I may be following my ancestors foot steps, but I'm following the right ones because I know it's true. Throughout my life I have prayed and searched wondering if what I am doing is right and I have never had the response that it's false. I have read and studied the church a lot more then anything else, but I have never found anything wrong with it. Whenever I have a question about something, I pray and ask God about it. Then I get my answer and move onward with faith. My parents have taught me since I was young and the more I think about it, the more I realize that what they taught me was truth. Besides, why would they teach their children something false? I know my parents know the truth and I know that they would never mislead me. So, that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Well, I do my best to follow all of the commandments of God first of all. It's not easy though and I definitely make lots of mistakes. I've always tried to make the right choices, but there are times when it's difficult. Those are the moments when you have to go forward with faith and be able to make the right choices, even if no one is watching. I served a full-time proselyting mission in the Edmonton area, which has helped me become better and avoid making the stupid mistakes that I've made before. I get to work on all the little things in my life before they become major events. I live my faith by doing my best to be a good example in all that I do. I even try to be a good example to myself, cause I'm the one individual whose with me all the time. So, it's easier to identify what I need to do better with myself, plus whenever I do obey the commandments I feel FANTASTIC. The Plan of Salvation that is available to all of us is also called the Plan of Happiness. Just thinking about it, I want to do all that I can to be happy. Life goes so much better when your able to enjoy and be happy no matter what situation your in. I suppose that's how I live my faith. It's in everything I do.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Dawson
You bet I do! To me, God loves us just as much as He loved His children in the time of Moses, so why wouldn't we have a Prophet as well? That's why God always calls Prophets to lead us in dispensations. Because He loves us all so much that He gives us Prophets so that we'll be able to return to live with Him. So, I'd advise that you listen to the Prophet, because he is Gods representative on the Earth. I know that there are Prophets on the Earth in these days and if you don't believe me, that's fine. Ask God, He's the one who told me and I'm sure He'll give you an answer as well. Show more Show less
