Hi I'm April

I am a musician. My instrument is my voice. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently recovered victim of a serious case of Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder. My life is new! I am enjoying discovering everything about life! I love to sing of Jesus Christ. I am a soprano soloist, and also I am a part of several Community Choirs. When I sing, I wish for the listener to feel of His love for them, and have a desire to Come Unto Him. It is a great joy to me to be a part of these choirs, to be a part of so many types of people and enjoy friendships. I have learned to make many friends and my hope is that they will see me as someone who loves the Lord as they do, and maybe enjoy my company along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

My membership in His church has given me great joy and peace. My Heavenly Father has carried me through many a hardship. He gives me many blessings every day from His mercy. Over everything I have gone through, He has shown His love for me. I was born into the church but I have had to develop my own testimony, what I know to be true, to study His words. I have learned to rely on Him and to follow His counsel. Without this, I could not have made it past my many trials. My gratitude for Him, and all He has done for me, knows no bounds. I am grateful He has given us a modern prophet to lead us under His direction. He truly loves us.

How I live my faith

Besides being involved with the community in music, I teach lessons to the women at church all about Jesus Christ, faith, prayer, honesty, charity. I help organize activities to promote these things. I also lead the music in our Sunday Meetings. I love the Hymns, and I love being up on the stand leading the singing. I hope that I can be a good example to those I meet of rising above trials, and of that which we believe. That being, we believe in Jesus Christ, in His Atonement, in His teachings that we have with us today.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, the Bible is God's word. God speaks to all people, and all nations. These others have also written down His words for our use. Thus the Book of Mormon. It is a companion to the Bible and also is His word. Show more Show less
