Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. I live in Arizona a love it. I am a convert to the church and a member since 1997 and proud to be a mormon.

About Me

I currently work in Emergency Management. I am a retired police officer, married to my eternal wife Heather. I have three incredible children, two boys and a girl. My oldest son is currently serving his mission in Kentucky. My interests are flying, boating, skiing and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church and have been a member since 1997. When I first married my wife in a civil ceremony, I was not a member and it took me five additional years before I joined. I had no interest to join. We had many missionaries stop by during that time but still no interest. Then one night two sister missionaries arrived at my home unexpectedly, and as soon as I opened the door, I felt a complete warm feeling over me letting me know it was what I wanted to do. It was not easy to give up my coffee but I was successful. This was a minor sacrifice. I have never regretted joining this church. I still continue to learn about the church and have a long way to go and look forward to the journey.

How I live my faith

I have had numerous callings within the church mainly in the scouting programs and have worked in the nursery for two years. I have participated in emergency preparedness for our ward and have assisted in community service projects. There is no better feeling than providing a service to someone who has never asked for the help. I have been an instructor within the church
