Hi I'm Kathleen

I've been called on a Mission with my Eternal Companion!

About Me

I treasure my life! I was adopted at 2 weeks old ~ my birth mother chose LIFE for me! With my dear husband, I cherish every minute of being a parent and grandparent. I've always been self-employed, working out of our home. I have a sewing business and enjoy the development and manufacture of products for other businesses and individuals. I spent 20 years teaching a commercial Joy School. WOW! what a JOY, seriously ~ the children and families I have grown to love are so dear to me. I served as an early morning Seminary teacher. Seminary is a Gospel Study course for youth in high school. Reading and Studying the Scriptures is the BEST way to start the day! I enjoy walking - in fact, I walked with a friend to her daughter's house 24.5 miles away... for the fun of it! For more 'exercise in disguise' I was a Zumba instructor! I have looked forward to serving a Mission with my husband for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. AND we have just received a call to serve in the Florida Orlando Mission, fall 2017!! In the past year, I passed on my business ventures, we sold our home and moved... it was a tender time for me, I looked back more than I looked forward ~ but now the way forward is clear and bright! In all I do and in all I am, I strive to be a disciple of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I treasure my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Perhaps the greatest result of being adopted is the fact that my parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was very young and therefore I was taught of my Father in Heaven and His love for me. I was baptized a member of The Church when I was 8 years old. I learned for myself the truthfulness my parents values and teachings. I know that when we are obedient to God's instruction/commandments He blesses and prospers us. This is an eternal principle that is evident in the Old Testament as well as in all Scripture. I have felt great peace and calm assurance as I live the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I suppose St. John 14:15 sums up why.... I love Him- I aspire to obey His commandments.

How I live my faith

My love for Jesus Christ is the basis for how I try to live my life. I try to follow His example in the way I serve and care for others. I suppose it goes with out saying, to follow His example, one needs to KNOW Him and what He did/does. The wonderful thing I have found is that the more I do and give and really try to be genuine and generous with my time, devotion and service.... I am empowered by His grace to accomplish all He would have me do. I try to live with integrity - meaning live according to the truths I know. I have taken Christ's name upon me and I try to reflect His countenance in mine and in my actions. Again, with this as my focus and desire - He strengthens and enables me to accomplish it, often in small and simple ways. As I fall short, I don't feel like a failure or rejected. I keenly know that I need to do better, yet there is a sweet feeling of encouragement and love. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is what empowers and lifts me to live my Faith - His Gospel.
