Hi I'm Chelsea :)

I'm awkwardly tall, I don't like spoons, I love sloths and studying brains, but first and foremost, I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I grew up in a generally small town in Indiana, lots of corn and cows. I have a mom, dad, older brother and a dog named Peyton. I grew up playing and watching sports and now I'm a volleyball coach. I am a convert to the church, and was baptized May 21, 2011 during my senior year of high school. Five years later on May 21, 2016 I was married! Abraham and I are super goofy and fun loving and can't wait to spend eternity together! I am now twenty-three years old and I have graduate from Brigham Young University; there I studied neuroscience and psychology! I enjoy learning about the brain and how it functions and affects behavior. I enjoy going to church every Sunday and regularly attending the temple :) I personally enjoy: making people laugh, skyping with friends when I'm away, and listening to music. Being the only member in the entirety of my family has been rough but more than worth it. I have met some of my dearest friends through the church and I don't know what I would be doing without them. My immediate family is probably the coolest you will ever meet, just for the sheer fact that they all support me in my decisions. It has been a rocky five years but I love being a Mormon, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I need Christ. I am weak without Him. My trials and burdens are made lighter because of Him. This church has brought me so much closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Life is hard. I struggle, I try, I fail, and I succeed. Yet through it all I know They are always there for me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of hope and redemption, it teaches of grace and mercy. All of these things are things that I need on a daily basis. This is the only church that can promise me and my family eternity. I cannot wait to be together with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, but until then, I will strive to do all I can to be more like them. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lays out the path to eternity and I live in joy as I strive to stay on that path.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is one of the hardest yet most rewarding things I have done and continue to do. I have found that as my faith in the Lord grows I become a better person. Daily I strive to be like my Savior and say and do the things that He would do. Faith is not something that you can let sit idle. We all need to strive to progress and be better than the person we were. I have found that when I regularly attend church and partake in the Sacrament it makes it much easier to live a pure life. I have also found that when I attend other church programs such as institute or family home evening my bond with my Heavenly Father grows. When we do what our Heavenly Father wants He blesses us even more! I love the gospel and that love grows more and more as I continue to strive to expand my faith.
