Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Idaho. I majored in international relations. I love sports and I am now a personal trainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I had many interests. Those included physical therapy, mechanical engineering, learning languages, athletics, personal training, international coordination, etc. I have tried to learn about my interests hands on. This has led me to jobs in each of the fields of my major interests. I speak three languages and am planning on adding a fourth soon. I have traveled abroad a little and am looking forward to traveling more with my family. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have one son. We recently moved to Oregon after each of us received our bachelors degree from Brigham Young University. I am now a personal trainer at a local gym. We love to explore new places and go on adventures as a family. We are looking forward to the adventures that life will bring.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the experiences which I have had so far in my life have taught me that God is close to us and He wants us to stay close to him. I have felt and understood as the spirit of God has confirmed to me that the principles taught in the church are pure and true. His spirit has also taught me that He has given men His authority to act in His name so that everyone can receive His blessings. This authority has been provided through a prophet and apostles so that everyone can know where to look to follow God and receive His word. The fact that God will confirm to each and every one of us that He lives, that He loves us, that He has a plan for us, and that we can know how to follow Him is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by involving God in everything that my family does and by trying to be a force for good everywhere I go. My wife and I have volunteered for different service programs in the last few years which has been very rewarding. We have also found, however, that looking for the little things that we can do to help people around us (whether we know them or not) is one of the best ways to live our religion. I have learned that through small acts of service God uses one person to bring divine joy into the life of another. I feel love, happiness, and lasting joy every day of my life. My family is truly happy and we live our religion by helping others to understand how lasting happiness is found.
