Hi I'm Suzie

I am married with 5 children and 4 step-kids. I am a hairstylist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5, with one daughter that is married. I went through divorce about 10 years ago. It was one of the most difficult times in my life. Yet the Lord has been by side through everything. He has never left me comfortless as I have put my faith and trust in Him. Since that time, He has blessed me with an amazing husband who has been a huge blessing to me and to our children. I have 4 step-kids that are married and together we have 7 grand-kiddos. I have been a hairstylist for 25 years which I absolutely love. I have been a fitness instructor for 12 years. I love exercise, snow-boarding, wake-boarding, sports, laughter, movies, the beach, serving others as well as in the church, I have a new love for reading which is exciting for me, and I love spending time with the love of my life and our children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church. I have been through some hard challenges throughout my life. When I knew it was time to divorce my husband, I had 5 small children, the youngest being 8 months old the first time we had separated. I remember pleading with the Lord to take the pain and heartache away. But the Lord knew I needed to grow in ways I never imagined. I was on my knees a lot, even when I didn't feel like praying. I turned to my scriptures for answers to questions, which blessed my life and brought much peace and comfort. I remember one particular time, feeling so alone, wondering if God was really listening and aware of the trials that I was trying so much to endure. I remember the warmest feeling of peace and a reassurance that He was there and that everything would be alright. I had gone to my Parent's home one particular day, and there on the desk was a statue of Christ carrying a girl in His arms, leaving His own footprints behind. That was a tender mercy from the Lord reminding me that THAT is how I was getting through all this. That He was carrying me. And He did. He didn't lift my burdens right away. He knew just what I needed to grow... to pray more earnestly, to learn to swim myself when I felt I was almost under water. To lay everything at the feet of My Savior to do His will. The gospel of Jesus Christ is my life. I do not know, or could not imagine where I would be without it. I have learned that I can't do it alone. I need my Savior. The teachings and principles of the Gospel bring peace and comfort to me. I have complete understanding why I am here, where I came from, and where I am going. I am so grateful to know that Families are Forever. That because I am sealed to my husband and children, that we will be together forever. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, brings peace in a world of uncertainty. I have learned to live by faith, not fear. There is great comfort in that.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by attending the Temple several time a month. The Temple is so beautiful and is a place of refuge from the world. I have also been blessed to serve the Women in the church. What a blessing to have the opportunity to serve others. When we look outside ourselves and help others in need, there is pure joy and happiness. We are all going through some sort of challenge. Disappointment, health, emotional well-being, financial hardship, struggling to find peace and happiness. Whatever it is, The gospel of Jesus Christ can bring much comfort and peace. I do not know, or could not imagine where I would be without it. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that His son Jesus Christ is my brother, my Savior and Redeemer. That He was sent to this earth to teach us how to live by His own example. He sent his own son to die for me and for you that we may all be resurrected and live with our Heavenly Father and our families again. I know that we have a prophet on this earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, to guide and direct His church. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it several times and am a witness of the truthfulness of it and know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that a young boy, Joseph Smith, saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. That he restored the fullness of the Gospel to the earth. I am grateful for his unwavering faith as he and his family endured so much. I am so thankful for the challenges I have been through as they have made me who I am today. I love my Heavenly father. He knows me and loves me in spite of my weaknesses. How thankful I am to be a member of the true church on the earth today
